From the moment he started raving Scott Kemp knew his place was in the DJ booth. He started off playing electro and moved on to the more dubby, bumpy, techno , deep house sound that we know and love.

We spoke to Scott about his best set and he told us “it has to be my set at space Ibiza this year for Carl Cox’s opening party, I played alongside some really amazing artists so that was a real pleasure for me.”

We think it is great to see new names and faces breaking into the House scene and Scott has noticed the same trend on the dance floor, “now it’s very young and you get a lot of different characters, which is good.”

With passion and motivation Scott aims to dedicate himself to the music full time. The opportunity to see some of the best while doing what he loves makes music the perfect career.

His love for music extends further than house, “old school Detroit hip hop that’s where my soft spot lays but I’m versatile, I like listening to acoustic guitar players too so I’m an all-rounder I say.”

We were happy to hear that Scotts calendar is jam-packed. “I’m so busy at the moment with production. I have some collaborations I’m working on at the moment with Lakosa who I love working with he is so talented, also a collab with Miss Jools from Mobile Records. I’m currently working on a remix for Saytek on the label Wiggle who have been doing parties for years and as a label are a quality brand. There will also be a vinyl ep with Anthea and Randall M on an American label called Hypertone, I’m really looking forward to it coming out. There are also a few more, I’m just on top with it all at the moment which is a good thing.”

Enjoying every party he plays at you can next catch Scott Kemp at Novus this Saturday at Cargo.
