After a few bad reviews last year LoveBox came back fighting. The London festival took on people’s comments and decided to run just a two day event with a host of after parties across the whole weekend.

One thing we have to mention is the Lovebox app, it made planning your perfect festival schedule easy and you could use it even with no signal!

The event had a good atmosphere although they seemed to have crammed double the amount of people into the same area, giving veterans a claustrophobic feel. The event was relatively well laid out and organised, queues for the toilets and the bar weren’t any more soul destroying than similar events and their were guys with kegs on their backs for added convenience. There were some shaded areas where you could sit and chill and amongst the horrific festival food were some gourmet food trucks like the likes of ‘motherclucker‘ (seriously it’s crazy delicious.)

The sound systems packed a punch and their were some great house artist on the line up. We saw Route 94, Cyril Hahn, PBR Streetgang, Annie Mac and had to see A$AP Rocky on the main stage, because sometimes hip hop. On the second day we were in serious recovery mode partially down to cider part down to the 30 degree heat we danced in the day before. Luckily The Martinez Brothers weren’t on until 7pm so by that time we were ready to give it another go. Having been barely born (showing my youthfulness I know) when Nas ‘Illimatic’ first graced the musical world we thought it would be culturally enriching to see him perform on the main stage. The crowd was crazy, people seemed to know the words, we danced. Lovebox 2014 was a success.

Here’s some pics of me, some friends and some girls I spotted who had a great festival look. Follow us on instagram for more event fashion pictures instagram.com/houseandheels
