Creative electronic outfit Monarchy are back with their highly-anticipated EP ‘Almost Human’, set for release 8th September 2014 on their own label Hacan Sound through Believe Digital. Take a listen to the preview below.

The EP is packed with the duo’s signature technicolour melodies and electronic anthems. Upbeat melancholic ‘Beautiful Ones’ is the perfect indie electro anthem, while ‘Black Widow’ is an explosion of whirlwind synths. ‘All Our Friends’ is a 3am dance floor jam, whilst C.S.I’s Eric Szmanda spoken words creates the perfect interludes for ‘The Light’. Armstrong’s effortless production on the soulful ‘Take Me Out Your Mind’ turns Ra Black’s heartfelt lyrics and vocal harmonies into the best last dance song.

Having notched up memorable live performances at legendary Coachella, Lovebox and Melt festivals, the duo have become a formidable and renowned international live act – with a full band on stage and a show that captures their all encompassing artistic vision – Monarchy will be back in the US to play a short set of dates in September.

With a more heartfelt and soulful sound than ever before ‘Almost Human’ is Monarchy’s invitation to enter their synth-soaked world of relationships, obsessions and dreams. The EP offers the first taste of the twosome’s newly developed electronic-soul sound. And, with a new album in the pipeline for the end of the year, they’re set to be a real force to be reckoned with.
