This time a week ago I was traveling home after THE best weekend of 2013 so far, the Bugged Out Weekender!

Over the weekend I headed down to Butlins in Bognor Regis for the much anticipated Bugged Out Weekender 2013 with some my fabulous friends. Most of them had been last year (the first year it was held) and they were extremely hyped up for what was to come. I knew that the line up this year was amazing but other than that I wasn’t to sure what more to expect. Let me tell you now that without a doubt, this has been one of the best festivals I have been to yet!

From the organisation of the event, to the location (yes the location!) to the music and atmosphere, I was far from disappointed! Despite the freak snow flurry and train delays causing disruption to some set times, nothing was going to spoil this weekend! Here are my highlights from the best moments and acts

Friday Disclousre Live Disclosure Live treating us to their exclusive new track Infected, as well all round hits Running and Control. Getting the crowd to get down at Fake Blood. We do this every time, it never grows old!

Saturday Festival booth Who doesn’t love photo booths?! Festival Booth was based at the centre stage, a great way to capture the moment with friends and share the experience. For a pound per person it was worth it. What’s even better, it automatically uploads to the Festival Booth Facebook page so you can tag yourself and share with friends! Bubble gun! As earlier mentioned, they had an on site sweetshop right next to the centre stage, open till the early hours of the morning. Selling everything from crisps and mints to fancy dress get up and yes, bubble guns! This alone could have easily made my weekend. I’m a big kid really.

Chemical Brothers were the headlining act for Saturday evening, playing at the centre stage. The room was packed out! They accompanied favourites like Swoon and It Doesn’t Matter with their legendary lights and laser visuals. The following act after the Chemicals Brothers was Boys Noize, who absolutely smashed it coming on with Eats Everything’s Vertigo! One of the peaks of the night was Erol Alkan opening his set with his rework of Donna Summer’s I Feel Love and The Bay remix. Sunday Eats Everything Set I know what you’re thinking, with all the acts over the past two days, can it get better? It does! Who better to kick off our last night than Eats Everything! Of course, his cheeky drop of Circles got the whole crowd hyped, along with other bangers like his reruff of Justin Martin’s Ruff Stuff. Eats Everything Eats Everything providing another awesome set! After very last minute changes to the schedule as Joy Orbison unfortunately got snowed in at Frankfurt, he came on at 9 which was a god send, as my tactful nap at 5 turned into a full blown 2 hour sleep! Maya Maya Jane Coles helped bring the weekend to an end with her feel good vibes What They Say and Over.

Frankie Knuckles put on an incredible end to the weekend bring out the feel good 80’s house music with Strings of Life and Your Love. Were you at the Bugged Out Weekender 2013? If so share your highlights, pies and video with us!
