A magical meeting of minds, Son of Sun combine the first-rate production talents of Tyson Ballard and inimitable vocal abilities of Sheff – an innovative duo formed whilst working at London’s event series Love Fever.
Bostonian funk/house/disco/hip hop fusionists Soul Clap deliver a popping rendition of ‘Whispers’ abundant with funk that combines Sheff’s heady vocals with a buoyant bassline and jazzy instruments. Dutch house maestro Boris Werner then instils a winding groove in his remix of ‘Moonchild’ with an infectious hook and hypnotic atmospherics, before hotly tipped London house sensation Citizenn ties it all together by taking a duskier approach to the same track by using sullen synths, rhythmic percussion and spectral keys.
