Will Crawshaw has roots that span a vast range of different styles. From being brought up on rock, hip hop, garage and bassline house he has now found his feet through the path of DJing underground sounds such as techno, minimal and deep house. He found himself cheekily blagging his way into the raving scene at 15 to listen to hard house, electro and maybe even a little psy-trance.
My key inspirations are probably the buzz and emotion that dance music can create for people.”
Will is inspired by the opportunity to make people dance and be happy. He was captivated by the effect DJs can have on their audience since he first heard 2 tracks mixed seamlessly together.
Music and sound in general inspires me wherever I go, patterns in everyday sounds always get me thinking.”
Enjoying everywhere he plays, it was hard for him to pinpoint one event as the best but the Beatstreet Ibiza boat party just topped the rest, “full to capacity with an amazing vibe and the whole place going nuts” . He also had to mention a recent gig in Berlin, “loved it, only a small club, but again, all about the vibe!”
With the London crowd being receptive to his sound Will enjoys the chance to come and play. Finding it different to his native Leeds where everyone knows each other.

As for fellow DJs , Will always looked up to Luke Pompey- head honcho of Love Not Money. Luke Pompey delivers a certain energy in his sets that Will connected with. This admiration has now moved to collaboration with the pair now friends who have been make tunes and playing sets together. Other names he admires include Ed Kane aka Dexter Kane, Martin Buttich and The Martinez brothers.

Will Crawshaw describes his sound as a Groovy Deep Techno House blended with Garage licks. You can expect a new podcast by him out next week. He’s got two tracks finished and signed to King street that are collaboration with Luke Pompey who he also has more underway with. With 2 EP’s coming out in January/February, one on Nelm and one on Akbal Music both of which he is excited about. You can also look out for some remixes for Nurvous records.
With a pure motivation based on positivity and ambition Will strives to be different and forward thinking in as many relevant aspects in life as possible. Making a good living from what he loves doing is amazing for him and just keeps pushing him forward.
You can usually catch Will at Beatstreet in Leeds at The Garage, a night run by a few of his close friends, with everyone putting in 100% they have gained a wicked following. With their Christmas party with Subb-an on the 16th December
