Bou Boutique are a Balham based clothing store hoping to bring something a bit different to the high street. We went to check out what Autumn Winter trends they had in store.

The first trend we were loving are bombers, think bright and bold. Bombers can have quite a mannish shape but frills and flowers make the look more girly and wearable. Burgundies and reds are great colours for this winter.

This look takes the deep reds and flower appliques and deigns seen at Christopher Kane and mixes it with a wearable yet statement bomber seen on the Tom Ford catwalk.

The Second trend we are loving is monochromatic, every A/W you will find black and white looks at Autumn winter 13-14 is no different. Stand out this season by adding a pop of colour , and a bright red bag or yellow shoes (seen on Sass& Bide catwalk) to add a punch of colour to a muted outfit. Mix it up by trying a black and white print as opposed to blocks of colour.

Outfit no.2 is totally channel inspired. To me tweed just screams Chanel and black and white patterns were definitely around on the catwalks. Chanel introduced some great texture this season. To really stay on trend why not add a pair of thigh high boots.

The final trend is tartan and plaid. We say go bold or go home, so red its definitely the colour to go for with this trend, with splashes of red being seen on catwalks everywhere. Tartan prints can be a bit busy so if you aren’t quite ready then two tonal print possible a red and black could be right up your street. With such a bold print keep other items in your outfit in block colours to avoid looking like a clashing colour explosion!

Bou tend to look to the catwalks for inspiration with some of their favourite brands being Givenchy, Tom Ford and Celine. Social media is also a great help, allowing them to look at trends and ways outfits are pieced together.
