From snakes to swirls- prints were big business at New York Fashion Week. Other trends we loved included pastels, colour blocked coats, texture mixing and touches of fur. Here are our favourite looks of New York Fashion week Autumn Winter 2014 -15.

(Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Rebecca Minkoff, Anna Sui, Betsey Johnson, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Jeremy Scott)

Michael Kors presented with fresh faces and muted tones, there were fur and fringe editions with the only brightness coming from denim. Marc by Marc Jacobs had harsh lines and cinched in waists. A sports theme ran throughout the majority of the collection with motifs and bold prints taking centre stage. DKNY brought a sense of classic cool or what has been  described as a mix of old school, new school, chic and street. The collection is definitely youthful and we love the leather pieces. The bright back drop made Rebecca Minkoff feel light and airy like a crisp winters day. Deep hues flirted with pastels and structures were softened. Anna Sui gave us the rainbow, but not all at once. Red, green , blue, purple, brown, cream and black palettes were created. Prints flirted with furry textures and an eastern influence was seen. Betsey Johnson was as expected, bold, bright and unforgettable. Sequins were seen between gun printed chiffon and technicolor fur. Phillip Lim took us on a journey from light to dark. With oversized articles and leather blocked with fur. Our final favourite had to be Jeremy Scott. Fluff sports jerseys, spiral prints and crazy cartoons. A sport couture explosion had us jealous of the girls dressed like basketballs.
