On January the 1st 2014 a few facts of life start to dawn on you.
You are getting older.
It’s still winter! – which is not fun after Christmas.
You have a clean slate to make this year your year.
Circo Loco NYD went some way to lightening the blow of a new year coming around, and the NYD crowd are always much cooler than the random dregs of the population that come out on New Year to events that don’t even like raving… rant over.
The Coronet was a great venue for the event with a different feel to each room and the old theatre balcony overlooking the main stage. I really can’t get across how good the vibe of this event was. Everyone really seemed to be there for the music and no one was standing around holding up the wall.
Because of it’s previous popularity some people now feel that Circo Loco is a bit to mainstream and can attract the wrong crowd. I however felt this event was truly different. Maybe it was the security, or the fact people were deterred by NYD or simply the large venue , but this event just had a great feel to it.
