Returning for its sixth season at Hï Ibiza, Glitterbox has gone from newbie to mainstay of a visit to the White Isle.

Taking place each Sunday across a whopping 22 weeks, you’ll be able to get your taste of Glitterbox right the way to its closing party on Sunday 1st October.

Crowds return year on year to immerse themselves in the theatrical party atmosphere with the event providing a mix of party-starting nu disco, vocal house and classic anthems. When I visited on Sunday 6th August I do have to admit that the sound somewhat varied from the disco sounds I was expecting, making way for a heavier tech vibe that seemed to excite the younger crowd that a mammoth brand like Glitterbox can’t help but draw in.

However, bringing it back to its roots was an epic performance by Dames Brown (Live) who in their matching red ensembles and soulful voices uplifted the atmosphere to a 10! Dames Brown are a musical trio who have been a big part of the Defected family since their first release on Classic six years ago, leading up to their Defected Records debut with ‘What Would You Do?’ featuring Andrés and legendary soul musician Amp Fiddler in 2021.

The group got a huge reception with their live rendition of their soul, funk hit ‘Calling Out’, a record soaked in sunshine and euphoria.

Also on the lineup for the night were The Shapeshifters who played all night long in Wild Corner (aka the party toilets) and Krystal Klear who delivered from 2.30 til close in the club room.
