It has now been confirmed following social media announcements at 11pm last night that house music legend Frankie Knuckles died on March 31st 2014 aged 59.
Having played at the ministry of sound just days before, fans have been shocked at his death as they were looking forward to another summer of enjoying his great live sets.
We were luckily enough to catch the Grammy winner live last summer at the Found Shoreditch street party.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Rest In Peace Frankie Knuckles, the Godfather of House. You will be sorely, sorely missed. http://t.co/tiBf77uFSe pic.twitter.com/zZjT0PgGmz
