Solid Grooves have a reputation for a chilled vibe and great house music. Dedicated to deep house, disco, minimal and tech, Solid Grooves aim to bring the East London action south of the river.

The event was being held on the roof terraces at the Brixton Club house. As the event drew closer and the weather warmer it was sure to be a sell out. With temperatures literally 31 degrees Celsius the crowd were transported to a house music paradise. The sweltering heat made for the perfect Pimms weather and at £15 a jug it was the most popular refreshment.

Dynamic disco and deep house duo Death On The Balcony stirred up the crowd. Revellers braved the heat as they were gradually consumed by the music.

The crowd began to surge around 9pm as everyone moved to the main tented area to indulge in the musical offerings of Alex Arnout.

A lot of things go into making a successful event. One very important aspect is the crowd and this is what made Solid Grooved so special. An electric atmosphere that you could’t help but be consumed by.
