After poor ticket sales Playground Festival has announced that the event scheduled for this weekend is cancelled. We first became aware of the poor ticket sales when they made the decision to cancel the second day of the festival scheduled to be Brixton Academy.
Yesterday they announced that the whole festival has been cancelled on their website. We hope this information is able to filtrate down as so far they have not tweeted this announcement.
They have stated that the reason the event has been cancelled is down to not only poor ticket sales but also the parting of one of the investors.
A rescheduled event is due to take place on the 13th of July at KOKO.
With seven years event experience it seems their decision must have been well thought out and far wiser than people arriving to a crumbling mess , like many experienced with Bloc.
