Today we are looking at Herve Leger for some fashionable inspiration. Their latest collection is Spring Summer 13. Their collection is a mixture of intricate designs with their signature bandage style. Key colours are blue and nude. We love the detailed woven styling and leather touches added to the collection.
Quilt making has been stated as the inspiration for the collection, “particularly from the residents of Gee’s Bend, Alabama, an isolated town in the southern United States where African-American women created quilts whose styles were so unique, they attracted the attention of major art museums.”
As the looks progressed in the show so did the intricacy of the designs , from a more conventional geometric patterns to the interlaced masterpiece pictured above.
